Another survey-y thingy (gosh I'm liking the -y suffix today)

Since I keep running across this one (funny how often the same surveys and whatnot show up either on my friends list or on the friends list for the CKI community — which I actually read semi-regularly [then again daily is semi-regularly in my books]), I think I'll actually try to do it!

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
world. — From Survival of the Prettiest: The science of beauty by Nancy Etcoff (and yes, this is indeed a textbook from one of my classes)

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
Well… I don't touch anything technically… But if I had 'inspector-gadget-arms' I would touch the vase with water and dead-ish daffodils (circa Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Days 2004)

3: What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Uh… when did I watch TV last I wonder… hmmm… I honestly don't remember. Odd. Probably the morning news though… since I tend to watch that on occasion.

4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is:
Almost 11PM

5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
Well… depends on which clock… my computer clock says 10:57PM, my watch says 10:46PM, my microwave says 10:35PM, my stove says 3:27 (note the non-functional time changing mechanism on the stove clock), my clock-radio says 10:50 and my stereo says 10:42PM… gosh I did remember to change them all (minus the stove)! Who knows what the actual time is. Bah humbug.

6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
Home for a Rest by Spirit of the West, part of my Frosh 2 CD that I'm listening to on the stereo (just finished listening to the Dion Chante Plamondon CD so this is an entertaining change of pace)

7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?
I walked home from work at 9:30ish PM.

8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?
Right before this website, it was wikipedia's news section. before that was a ton of other sites and e-mail.

9: What are you wearing?
My nightshirt (this one has Winnie the Pooh on it… darnned commercialized Pooh Bear… whatever happened to the original drawings from Milne's books??), underwear, Really shiny black pants (felt like wearing them for work), black socks (yeah, finally did laundry), my watch, and a barrette in my hair.

10: Did you dream last night?
Yep. Interestingly enough it was about Circle K… really odd dream that (although I don't remember much more than the fact that it had both Circle K and Key Club in it)

11: When did you last laugh?
At work at some point I am sure, customers can be entertaining sometimes.

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Uhhh… paint, the 2004 Figure Skating Calendar, The BTAF Apostrophe Poster. That's all in THIS room the way I define this room.

13: Seen anything weird lately?
Hmmm… good question… probably yes, at work at some point… yeah the food my co-workers were eating (I don't even wanna figure that one out this time).

14: What do you think of this quiz?
It's suitable for my current mood.

15: What is the last film you saw?
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
First? Uhhh… honestly, breakfast so I wouldn't have to cook or anything silly like that… but more reasonably, I'd pay for my LSSP registration and plane tix for various CKI events before I'd worry about anything else

17: Tell me something about you that I don't know:
What don't you know? I dunno. How about the fact that I abhor eating Cilantro. That's a really odd thing that I determined this past year actually. We sell the stuff all the time, but gosh! I'd prefer not to ever have to consume it really…

18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
I'd give Kiwanis International a Money Tree… so that it could concentrate on what matters rather than on budgetary concerns (like I'm being realistic, 'cause I'm not. Budgets are actually incredibly important (yadda yadda yadda) but something could be said for having more funds for certain things…)

19: Do you like to dance?
Very much do. Ballroom especially, 'cause then I don't feel all self-conscious and stuff.

20: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nutcase or some one who is finally doing something that has needed to be done for years?
There are significantly HUGE problems with Bush although I suppose if I try hard enough I can sort of see where he's coming from. (gosh I'm being very unspecific… but I'm not going to go bash him, or worship him or do anything else stupid and rash with relation to this question. I don't feel well enough informed to say much else)

21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Depends really. Too many good choices just yet. (I happen to collect names) Something reasonable yet somewhat unique most likely.

21: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
Again, depends. I rather like a lot of names… boys names tend to be more traditional though… but I wouldn't wanna choose the most common ones, and end up with a son with the same name as everyone else!

22: Would you ever consider living abroad?
Maybe, although it would depend on the reason and length of time most likely. I rather like the idea of settling down in Canada rather than elsewhere. But whatever happens happens… and I'm open to the realm of possibility, I suppose.
