Apparently time passed… it is now 2021 and we’re in the midst of a pandemic.

So this is my first update to the blog in a VERY long time. But I figured that since I’ve gone through a few iterations of my webspace in all of this time and haven’t bothered to write any life updates in 5 years (and LIFE has happened!), I probably should update in one way or another.

But what can I say, we’re in the midst of a pandemic. And most things have changed in my life. I’m a parent and a home owner. I have a different job (and what with the pandemic my workday is VERY different. I don’t do a lot of the things that I once did but I focus and do different ones. And some things will continue to change while others will stay the same.

I still like to read, spend too much time on social media, and love games (video, board, D&D etc.). I’ve really discovered a lot of walking paths throughout the pandemic. I’ve also become more isolated over the same time period for obvious reasons. But I’m also 5 years older than I was when I last posted and I’m I guess more tired. More mature. More willing to decide things for myself and I don’t think I care nearly so much about what people think about some things but I care about others…

This is the thing about growing up and social networks changing. I have Mom-friends now. I know entirely new people because of how my life has changed and grown. But I’ve reconnected with others for similar reasons. Life is a product of change, I guess.

So I’m not sure if I’ll start updating a blog on a more regular basis again or not, but regardless I figured an update of some sort was in order, and not just one filled with pandemic complaints (I could easily write one of those — as could most people). Quite honestly, my life is pretty darn good!

I just don’t make the time to blog (or at least I haven’t in the past 5 years). So maybe that’ll change occasionally. Or maybe not.

But this is still my space on the Internet. And I’m pretty happy with that!

  1. Aye, indeed your life has changed. Other than the pandemic thing, the change has been largely better than good, rather more like wonderful, at least from my perspective.
However, you are still the fine person I have known for many years.
Interestingly, I was recently going through photos of our walk around Geneva and our time with Susan at the Magic Kingdom.
    Good memories.
