So this past weekend was Kiwanis District Convention… and there was Cirque and…

I spent the past weekend in Medicine Hat. Which was rather nifty: we visited the Historic Clay District, checked out a great museum and I bought a mug that I rather like… I also visited Drumheller and Hanna on the way to and from the event… participated in board meetings, attended and facilitated workshops, and uh… had a splendid time. PLUS I actually had the time to go check out the hotel's two waterslides and sit in the hottub (and watch a little fraction of the Olympics and some other mindless TV too!

Which isn't to say that the weekend wasn't occasionally stressful, but let's concentrate on the positive, why don't we?

On the night before I went to Medicine Hat, I saw Cirque du Soleil's performance of Quidam at Rexall Place. This was quite excellent and I got another CD to add to my Cirque music collection. My mom rather enjoyed it too and we had front row seats so that was rather neat!

Today's been a day of catch up since it all and while I'm pretty happy with where things are at, I really need to get caught up on a few things and start getting movin' on some essential thesising that has been procrastinated for far too long.
