School's out for the holidays (for me anyway)… so much fun eating and talking with my awesome classmates at my prof's place! 🙂 It's been a great week in general! Now I just have to pack… and well… prepare for tomorrow!
So tomorrow, I fly to San Diego (and then go build houses in Mexico after that). Can't wait for the adventure to begin! I might even run into a friend I ran into today at the airport — crazy, eh?
Ah… so the gathering: Looking at people's availability, I'm going to have it on the 29th, starting at 5pm and running until whenever it ends.
I'm HOPING to have a white elephant gift exchange: that is if you can, bring something wrapped for a gift exchange: it can be anything really (preferably something fun and that you'd actually like to receive but, the randomness is pretty much half of the fun!)… Basically people would pull numbers to determine the order to go and then pick a gift out from the pile OR steal someone else's gift (all still wrapped) on their turn, with unwrapping happening at the end of the exchange. This will only happen if there's enough people interested.
The exchange would be around 7ish I'd imagine… with the rest of the night unscripted with the option of board games or anything else really.
As for food and whatnot: I'll at least have some snack food, and many beverage options available. If you feel like bringing anything that would be great.
I would, however, love RSVPs. Afterall, it is the holiday season, and I never know who's left (or come into!) town.
