Ahhhh…. home from an excellent holiday season. Yep that's right I got home this afternoon from a quiet and relaxing (well… relatively so) New Year's party at Brad's and feel great! I slept incredibly well, and had a fabulous time with some fragments of the ol' Sorefeet gang, Brad and Dianna, and a few others. It was great following a long workday.
As for my gathering on the 29th, it was a small but good gathering — I got to catch up with my friend Kim and chat with other awesome people! I thank Heather and Jason for getting me the perfect 'icing on the cake' Christmas present: yep that's right I finally own Trivial Pursuit (the classic original game… well Genus edition anyhow!)… that really helped to make the gathering great! 🙂 That and the fact that the tiny gathering did include a successful yet small gift exchange (I got glasses for my kitchen plus chocolates which I shared with everyone left at the gathering and brought to the next party I attended) were highlights of the evening… which ended in the wee hours of the morning.
Christmas was fabulous… got to spend time at home with my parents and brothers and nephew and enjoy! 🙂
As for the time intervening… I read the AWESOME book Beth gave me for Christmas: The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey (Gosh I love Fairy Tales!), and watched a bunch of Season 4 of That '70s Show. Other awesome gifts included money which I will spend on much needed/wanted things/trips/bills :)… yes I'll indulge a bit, Seasons 4 and 5 of That '70s Show, Season 6 of Gilmore Girls, the movie Quebec-Montreal (French language!), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (which I have not watched yet), The Breakfast Club, and a tin of Almond Roca… plus I received a journal, candy, notecards, tea, a mug and other goodies from various gift exchanges throughout the season as well.
Altogether an awesome holiday season! 🙂 I am so happy! 🙂 Now to get caught up on some of the internet-related stuff that I've neglected over the holidays…
